    SonyBMG Nashville Head Gets Award

    Joe Galante, the head of SonyBMG Nashville, was recently the recipient of the President’s Award. Galante was given the award during a Country Music Association board meeting, an award that is given annually as ruled by the board president. Current CMA President Randy Goodman commented on Galante’s leadership abilities, creativity, and dedication, all excellent qualities that he has managed to show consistently for the almost 25 years on the Country Music Association Board of Directors.

    Joe Galante started with the CMA Board of Directors in 1978, taking position as the president in 1983, and eventually chairman in 1986. he took a 6-year hiatus between 1990 to 1996, earning the distinction of being on of the longest-serving members of the Country Music Association Board.

    According to Tammy Genovese, the CMA Chief Executive Officer “Joe is one of the most dedicated and visionary leaders in our industry and community. His leadership, creativity and experience have been vital to CMA, and it is only natural that Randy has chosen to honor him with the President’s Award.”
