Crystal Shawanda - Dawn of a New Day

    August 20, 2008

Crystal Shawanda is a native hailing from the Ojibwa tribe. Growing up on an Ontario reservation, she has come a long way and has since been featured in a CMT reality mini-series entitled “Crystal: Living the Dream”. That entry point to the entertainment industry eventually led her to the release of her first CD, “Dawn of a New Day”.

Her voice is very unique, especially in the country music genre. There is a certain rasp to her delivery of lyrics that can either entertain you or make you find it quite strange. Still, Crystal Shawanda is a novel talent that doesn’t come a dime a dozen.

Tracks to key in to would be “Tender Slide” and the debut single “You Can Let Go”. Highlighting her voice talents and that unique voice, this is one talent to look out for. The album is a mix of new contemporary country pop laced with classic, old-timer country, a perfect reflection of who Crystal Shawanda is to the country music world… a brand-new talent with an old soul.
