From Tennessee comes Blue Moon Rising, a country music trio rooted in bluegrass music. They’ve recently come out with “One Lonely Shadowâ€, their latest studio album that leans more towards contemporary country music, aided by some of the biggest names in the industry at the moment.
One of the tracks from the album, “The Hanging Treeâ€, regales the story of a tree that has witnessed one too many evil acts. The narrative approach on the eerie track, which is also heard in the track “Ezekielâ€, makes this a truly unique country album.
Blue Moon Rising does not however lose the bluegrass influence that has fueled them since the beginning of their career. The album features well known pickers such as Randy Kohrs, Mike Bub, Steve Gulley, and Tim Crouch collaborating with the country group.
